Some of my interests include :-

This is my first effort of creating a web site (as you can tell) I have chosen only three themes at the moment -sport, music and academic courses. I may expand this page at a later date.

My name is Jim Strain and I live in Glasgow, I work at a college and teach building subjects mainly to apprentices, a job which I enjoy (most of the time ) very much.

I got involved in computing a number of years ago as a hobby and decided to try and get some sort of qualification in the subject. I then decided to take an H.N.C. in Computing which fortunately I was successful in achieving. Recently I decided to try and take on an Open University course in computing and was lucky enough to receive a place on their foundation course T171 You, Your Computer and the Net. I really enjoyed this course and this is where I took an interest in web sites. Most of the course is in the format of writing assignments in a web format and submitting them.
